The artisan Garibaldo Gherardini set up his business in Florence, Italy. He opened his store on the historical street of Fiordaliso.
In 1885, at the age of 24, he launched his own brand and produced handbags of high craftsmanship. Since the beginning the master put a creative forge into action, a real precursor he was of innovative ideas always in ferment.
The brand widened its production creating new lines of products such as bags, small leather goods and raincoats, and stood out in these fields. By 1969 Gherardini became a prestigious name in the fashion world with its famous G trademark. Currently, Gherardini, which has an important position in Japan with 3 flagship stores and 45 corners, has a growing distribution in the Far East, Middle East and Europe. In Singapore, the store is now located at Takashimaya Department Store
